Exciting evidence and the supernatural

The trouble with being an atheist is that you have all this evidence for evolution and the big bang, but the proof is too boring. No one wants to study it. People want exciting evidence, evidence so exciting it is supernatural— nostalgic of child-hood stories. Questioning that kind of “evidence” is at the focus of atheism.

Most educated people in the world accept evolution so it can’t be that boring. But I agree this may be true of a certain subgroup of Christian believers, particularly in the Southern US, as well as a few other conservative religions.

I think you mean “evidence” not “proof”, btw…not to be too picky.

Haha it’s no problem! I do agree evidence is a safer word. Hmm, you know what you’re right. I’ll edit it

God did it is a lot easier to understand than evolution. It’s the lazy method. If you don’t know something or understand something, you can just point to God.
