Conservatives are gay

When conservatives accuse LGBT rights activists of trying to turn everyone into homosexuals, I can’t help but chuckle. They say that homosexuality is a sinful temptation that must be resisted, and that if gay rights were to move forward, more people would become gay. Say what you will, but I think it is gay to say, “I’m straight unless you tempt me.”

LGBT rights are human rights, and a lack of respect for those is a lack of respect for liberty. People’s individual freedom and happiness is what a free society claims to protect. To deny equal rights to all is to take a step back into the history we are proud to have overcome.

Please name at least one Conservative who claims that LGBT activists are trying to turn everyone into homosexuals.

And then give the actual quote from that person.

The fact is, that no reputable Conservative makes that claim.

    • July 29, 2014 at 10:04 pm

Far too many times I have heard the “gays are recruiting” in our schools. The hatred these people have, and the fact that they are raising their children to hate the differences in others, is disgusting.

        Roger,

People say a lot of things. People here a lot of things.

So what? It’s part of life.

On the other hand, Brendon Eich was driven from his position of CEO of Mozilla because he donated $2000 to Prop 8 (Marriage is defined as the union of a man and a woman).

That is LGBT oppression. And that is what is really what is going on.

      • July 29, 2014 at 11:54 pm

He wasn’t driven from anything. He stepped down. He may be wrongheaded, but he exhibits honor.

As for oppression, your view requires that condition be extended to white southern slave owners being oppressed by losing their free labor.

        You’re an idiot, som.

        Definition of bigot.

a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

      • July 29, 2014 at 11:57 pm

        Roger,

Brendon Eich was driven from his position of CEO at Mozilla.

He got thrown out of his job.

I know the fact that the real fascist oppression comes from the LGBT is probably news to you.

But that’s because you really aren’t interested in what’s really going on.

That is a ridiculous viewpoint. Being gay isn’t something you can “catch” or something that you become because someone influenced you with their lifestyle. People who are gay are just gay. Giving them the opportunity to freely live their life with the same respect as straight couples get is in NO WAY going to make more people gay. That’s just ignorance and hatred.

      Nikki,

A standard tactic of leftists is to hallucinate a total absurdity (a bald faced lie) and then assign it to their political opposition.

Leftist can’t win on the power of their ideas because they are all lies. So they demonize and seek to destroy all opposition.

      • July 29, 2014 at 1:57 am

Ok, if the leftists are lying, then who is creating all the oppression for the LGBT community? I can promise you it isn’t from leftists. Right wing conservatives have had a habit of trying to prevent everything that they deem as “wrong” and “unacceptable” for ages.

With your side’s oppressive ways, it makes sense for them to create a bunch of homophobic and ignorant garbage to spew to ensure their sheep stay in line and hate everything they want them to.

As far as who is telling lies, look to your side. They are the ones who continually bend reality and the truth, through brain washing and religious expectations.

You are obviously not in tune with the views expressed on this blog or the views of its followers and that proves to me you’re simply an internet troll. I will not respond to you again because there is no point.

        Have a nice day.

        Nikki,

LGBT oppression is yet another leftist hoax like global warming, ObamaCare, alternate energy.

The LGBT community is one of the most prosperous and successful in the world.

The left (the Democrat Party, in the United States) makes book on hatred, disruption and conflict.

        Nikki,

I’ll ask you the same thing I asked the Reagents:

Name one mainstream Conservative who is oppressing the LGBT.

You can’t because there aren’t any.

      • July 29, 2014 at 2:20 am

Florida State Rep. Charles Van Zant (R). Speaking at the “Operation Education Conference”

“These people, that will now receive $220 million from the state of Florida unless this is stopped, will promote double-mindedness in state education and attract every one of your children to become as homosexual as they possibly can. I’m sorry to report that to you.”

LGBT rights are oppressed. There is much to be done as far as progress goes

      • July 29, 2014 at 2:24 am

        Reagent,

“As homosexual as they possibly can” means absolutely nothing.

What is important is that tax money, the earnings of normal people are being stolen by the government to fund sexual disorders.

        That is oppression by LGBT.

Fighting against the LGBT agenda is fighting oppression.

It is absolutely absurd for LGBT advocates to fight tooth and nail for the elimination of religion from the classroom while at the same time demanding taxpayer funding to further the lie that LGBT is normal.

      • July 29, 2014 at 2:40 am

        Homosexuality occurs in nature

      • July 29, 2014 at 2:51 am

        Reagent,

All sorts of disorders occur in nature.

You believe in science and evolution don’t you?

Sexual reproduction evolved over time as a means of transmitting genetic vigor to future generations.

LGBT is a disorder because if everyone were LGBT then the human race would go extinct.

Human nature is male and female. LGBT people are male and female.

Gender evolved for the purposes of sexual reproduction.

That also means that LGBT is a sexual disorder.

Human rights mean nothing if they are derived from sexual disorder.

      • July 29, 2014 at 3:44 am

You demand I quote a republican saying leftists want to turn everyone gay, as if it’s absurd observation. Then you accuse leftists of the same thing. We don’t think everyone should turn gay. We think the people who are (it’s not a choice) should have the right.

Evolution implies an immense complexity will arise. Not everyone will be the same. Everyone will be unique, have their own specific code. Variation in the individual members of the species is natural, and it is this very variation that allows the passive process of natural selection to multiply the variations and complexities.

Condemning homosexuality from an evolutionary standpoint is silly and insensitive. If you claim homosexuality is a defect and that it makes someone less than human, you must condemn other defects until you sound like a chauvinist.

But being gay is not a defect. And to tell someone they are less than you because they do not share your sexual orientation is plain bigotry. You are on the wrong side of history.

A condemnation of one’s liberty that does not affect you is the antithesis of our moral values. Ethics has no meaning if we condemn people for their inborn nature. There is no argument for homophobia, and there is much hate in the homophobe.

      • July 29, 2014 at 3:51 am

“LGBT is a disorder because if everyone were LGBT then the human race would go extinct.”

This is casuist arguing. If we follow this line of reasoning we would have to conclude that being female is a defect because if everyone was female the human race would go extinct. This would also be the case if everyone were male—I feel I must address this point to rebuttal the scientifically illiterate who would claim that males are the superior sex.

      • July 29, 2014 at 9:06 am

        Reagent,

I’m simply stating common sense that is proven by science.

You are proof that the atheist along with his LGBT brethren reject common sense and science in favor of a political agenda.

I asked to cite just one Conservative who was oppressing the LGBT community.

You cited a politician who was just doing his job.

He doesn’t think the leftists should receive public funding.

That isn’t oppression, it is legitimate politics.

People saying no to absurdity isn’t oppression.

      • August 13, 2014 at 7:13 am

You want bald faced lies, do you? How about this?

        http://www.defendthefamily.com/

“A concise, practical guidebook for parents who wish to protect their children from pro-homoesxual indoctrination and the possibility of recruitment into the homosexual lifestyle.”

It is tedious in the extreme to search for nutcase teabaggers who hate gays, but they are not hard to find.

      • August 13, 2014 at 10:57 am

        Clare,

1.6% of the population is bullying the 98.4% into accepting an obvious sexual disorder as normal.

We get it through television, the movies, at school and in our politics.

Standing up to such blatant fascism is not hateful.

  3. July 29, 2014 at 9:23 am

I love how you were asked to provide a quote, you did, and instead of that person admitting they were wrong, they continue to spout nonsense.

    • July 29, 2014 at 9:40 am

      Godless,

Politicians doing their job isn’t oppression.

Words are not oppression. Public prayers are not oppression. The Cross at Ground Zero is no oppression.

The public funding that the LGBT is seeking from the taxpayer is oppression.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:02 am

You can be oppressed politically. Join reality.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:08 am

        Godless,

LGBT is not being oppressed politically.

That’s exactly the meaning of my comments.

        Words are not oppression.

        Public prayer is not oppression.

The Cross at Ground Zero is not oppression.

Public funding of LGBT is political oppression.

You folks are doing the oppression and you audaciously blame your political opposition.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:25 am

Politically, LGBT are told they can’t get married. By politicians. Politically. They are oppressed politically by the people the author so kindly provided a quote from.

        Join reality.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:31 am

        Godless,

Marriage is the union of a man and a woman.

Gay marriage advocates would have everyone believe the utter nonsense that the man-man and woman-woman union is the same (equal) as the heterosexual union.

Laws can only be just if they conform to human nature.

Human nature is male and female who are heterosexual.

Marriage conforms to human nature and is thus defined as the union between a male and a female.

Since marriage forms the basis for civil society it is prudent for the government to encourage marriage.

LGBT people simply have to accept their disorder and quite bullying the entire society into basing law on sexual preference.

After all LGBT only make up 1.5% of the population according to a recent study done by the CDC.

It is absolute madness to redefine an entire society on the whim 1.5% of the population on the basis of their sexual disorder.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:34 am

It’s not human nature to fly, yet we have laws regarding flight. Your premise fails.

        Chris,

Flying is a form of transport and therefore has absolutely nothing to do with human nature.

You are the exact same person getting off the plane as you were when you got on.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:37 am

And yet it will happen because equality matters, despite what people like you think.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:55 am

        Godless,

I just proved to you how LGBT sexual preference is not equal to heterosexuality and therefore, gay marriage is an absurdity.

I further demonstrated that the LGBT agenda is actually an assault on human rights which include equality.

Consequently, if the LGBT agenda is implemented oppression will rule the land because the concept of equality has become meaningless.

LGBT is oppression because it forces 98.5% of the population to accept a profound sexual disorders as a basis for human rights.

      • July 29, 2014 at 11:42 pm

        Roger,

        No I wasn’t recruited.

But when I was thirteen years old a homosexual pervert put his hands on me and told me that he only wanted feel my neck.

      • July 30, 2014 at 12:21 am

Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha! Haha!

Ok, imagine me falling off the sofa laughing. The dog thinks I’m playing and goes for the face with her tongue. I rolled, bumped the coffee table and spilled a drink.

        Great fun. Thank you.

Unlike you, my homosexual experience involved no physical contact. I was 16, but appear older (big, ugly, hairy, deep voice). My girlfriend and I were downtown in an area of clubs, music, clubs, and clubs. They’re a mix of straight an gay, as in all large cities. I led us into one to get us drinks. Standing at the bar, the (obviously gay, I later realized) guy next to me said to (my girlfriend helped me understand later) his boyfriend something to the affect of me being “like a baseball bat”. I was so naive. I actually thought it was a sport reference. And in hindsight, I guess it was.

I’ve been laughing about it ever since. Laughing, som. I got hit on and laughed at it. That helped me to not be afraid. It helped me to not fear a whole class of people.

Quit being a victim som. Be a man, or a woman, or anything in between, if you prefer. Just quit being a victim. Quit whining, blaming others, and making excuses. And most of all, quit hating.

  4. July 29, 2014 at 10:07 am

I’ve come to the point in my life where I don’t bother arguing that homosexuality is natural. The right-wing doesn’t care about that fact, anyway. In my mind, simply acknowledging that some people are attracted to the same gender is enough for me. The way we treat homosexuals is more important than the sort of reasons why they are.

Two consenting adults should be able to marry regardless. If your religion prohibits gay marriage, don’t get gay married. What other people do behind their bedroom doors is no one else’s buisness., and you don’t get to prohibit what people do because your ancient magic book tells you it’s a sin. Plus, you know, with a 50% divorce rate in this country, I’d say that straight people are far more effective at ruining the sanctity of marriage than many of the homosexual yearning for federal recogniction of their relationship.

What we’re seeing from the right is the dying breath of an outdated way of thinking, as evidenced by silenceofmind here. What’s funny about him and his ilk is that while he’ll deny any oppresion to the LGBT community, the very first time the same things are done against his “group”, he’ll be the first one crying opression. That’s how the religious work. They’ve had their way for so long that they don’t know what to do with themselves when they are forced to acknowledge that not everyone shares their beliefs.

    • July 29, 2014 at 10:24 am

      Chris,

All sorts of disorders occur in nature but that does not make them “natural.”

The nature of something is defined by the healthy adult specimen of a particular creature.

The healthy adult human being is either male or female and is heterosexual.

Therefore LGBT is actually a list of sexual disorders that do not occur in the healthy adult human being or any other creature on Earth that reproduces sexually.

That includes all flowering plants also.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:27 am

Something that occurs in nature, is by definition natural.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:47 am

        Chris,

Since the topic here is oppression, we need to approach the subject philosophically.

Natural Law theory upon which American law was originally based is as I have already stated:

The nature of something is defined by the healthy adult specimen of a particular creature.

The flu is natural. It is natural to bleed when the hand gets chopped off by a heathen African Muslim maniac.

So though the flu is natural, it is a disease which attacks good health and therefore human nature.

The heathen African Muslim maniac who rampages, rapes, slashes and burns is in what is philosophers call the “state of nature.”

But the state of nature is not where we want to be.

Therefore, the LGBT agenda must be rejected because it is an actually assault on all human rights.

      • July 29, 2014 at 10:48 am

        Chris,

Calling people terrible names because they offer an alternative point of view demonstrates exactly what I have been saying.

LGBT can only be implemented through oppression.

You think you are right simply because.

In civil society, “because” is oppression.

Authentic social justice must be supported by reason and widespread social acclamation.

The LGBT demand that 98.5% of the population bend over and grab their ankles simply “because” is the very definition of oppression.

      • July 29, 2014 at 5:45 pm

You asked me to provide a quote of a republican saying leftists were trying to turn everyone gay. I did. You aren’t addressing this.

You also haven’t addressed this “LGBT is a disorder because if everyone were LGBT then the human race would go extinct.”

That is so senseless SOM. If everyone were male the race would go extinct so I guess being a male is a defect. Your argument isn’t paying much attention to logic

      • July 29, 2014 at 11:32 pm

        Reagent,

I did address your concern. It’s meaningless.
